Standing Officer Selection Process

The standing officer selection process is not as in depth as the Patrol Officer selection process. The selection process for patrol is designed to make sure that they are able to do the things the job may require.

If you are interested in trying out for the standing officer positions within the company this is the process you must complete.

  1. Download and fill out the application packet. (Everything in the packet other than the fitness test waiver needs to be filled out and signed)
  2. Submit the completed packet to employment at newmexicosecurityservice dot com. (you need to change the at and the dot to make it a valid email address)
  3. We will look over the information provided, and if selected will be setup for an oral board interview.
  4. Once the oral board interviews are complete we will talk about the interview and decide if we would like to move forward.
  5. If selected you will be given a conditional offer of employment, this conditional offer is contingent on you passing a background check.
  6. If your background investigation does not turn up any disqualifying convictions your conditional offer of employment will turn into an offer for employment and you will be setup with HR to complete the on-boarding process.
  7. Once you have completed the on-boarding process you will be scheduled for the classroom portion of training.
  8. After classroom training you will be put out with an FTO for a shift or two, as the FTO sees fit.
  9. Once the FTO releases you, you will be put on the schedule for shifts.

This selection process is to make sure you are getting the right candidates for the job. Depending on experience some of this may be waived. This will be at the discretion of the oral board and the owners.
